i was worried my break to the States would somehow delete from my mind all knowledge of the French language..like hitting the wrong key on the computer..zap! all work, gone! but i need not have feared..i'm just as lousy a French speaker now as i was three weeks ago! one big bonus of living in Cannes..folks here seem to be more used to folks of various native tongues (not just English, but mostly so) and are much more patient. perhaps it's also due to the less demanding off-season as well. or maybe it's the sweater. remember the NYC airport low cut sweater? i have harnessed it's power (for good, not evil) frequently since it's first stellar performance.
